What is Tradition? The word tradition comes from the Latin word traditio which means "to hand down". It is used in a number of ways in the English language:
However, basically, tradition(s) can be seen as information or composed of information. For that which is brought into the present from the past, in a particular societal context, is information. This is even more fundamental than particular acts or practices even if repeated over a long sequence of time. For such acts or practices, once performed, disappear unless they have been transformed into some manner of communicable information.
What is a Dutch Tradition? Dutch tradition is the handing down of a Dutch custom/customs from one generation to the next.

Hello there. This webpage is created by my group called 'Papeaheh'. The purpose of creating this webpage is to get Singaporeans to apply a certain Dutch tradition into their daily life so that it can benefit Singapore. This is actually a school project. However, much effort has been put in and 'Papeaheh' certainly hopes to see the tradition being applied so that Singapore can be a better place, a better home and a better country. Sincerely, Papeaheh
